Jamie organises and promotes the student's IB Art in public exhibitions. He designs and produces all of his IB Visual Arts Diploma Exhibition catalogues, once the student's work is ready for examination. Traditionally, he will also create a poster advertising the exhibition and promotional material too, for the school's own marketing and for the fun of it. Jamie designs and oversees the creation of exhibition spaces for students Art (and under the past (pre -2014) IB Syllabi, usually curated and hung the exhibitions himself).
All of Jamie's Art department's IB Art Exhibitions have been open to the whole school community as well as the general public. They have proved to be a great focus not only for the community spirit of the school in question but as positive marketing tool.
Seen below here are IB Art Exhibitions from The British International School, Vietnam. (The 2009 Exhibition did not have a poster or catalogue but did feature in ASIA Life magazine, a local lifestyle publication for expatriates in Ho Chi minh City). During this period all IB Art Exhibitions were curated at the BISV, Anh Phu Secondary Campus.
The new IB Syllabus for Visual Arts (2014- present) has created the opportunity for students to curate and hang their own exhibition spaces. Watch this space for Jamie's current Diploma student's work from the 2016-2017 cohort.
