Jamie is an experienced IGCSE Art teacher and the subject has been a popular option for students in the schools that he has taught in. Below is a short video presentation of the 2006-2009 cohorts of students working on their IGCSE coursework at The British International School, Vietnam. Following that is a slideshow with more of a wider selection of IGCSE student's work (including exam pieces) from both The British School of Guangzhou and The British International School, Vietnam.
Jamie has experience teaching both Cambridge International Examination and EDEXCEL Board syllabi. He is a registered Cambridge International Examination Board moderator and a Southern Examining Group moderator (from his U.K. teaching experience).
IGCSE examination results have been exemplary at both The British international School Vietnam and The British School of Guangzhou, with the last cohort of students at The British School of Guangzhou gaining 100% A or A* grade passes in 2013, (the last time Jamie taught IGCSE before switching to IB Visual Arts Diploma and the Pre IB programme in his current position).
These IGCSE results (like the The British School of Guangzhou's 'AS' level results of that year's cohort, (also 100% A grades), came from a secondary Art department which Jamie established from scratch in 2010 - when the school was still developing from an independent middle school.
'A' Level Art
Jamie can be seen as essentially an IGCSE and IB Visual Diploma Arts Teacher but he has also had 'A' Level teaching experience initially with the International School of Choueifat, Abu Dhabi (EDXCEL Board), and then again with the British School of Guangzhou (Cambridge International Examining Board) .
Below is a summary of his 'A' Level experience with BSG, which his Art department put into place following the expanding school's decision to provide 'A' Level qualifications rather than IB. Jamie saw the first cohort gain A grades at AS level before leaving BSG in 2010. The students later went on to achieve 100% A grade at 'A' Level. In Addition to these stages of Art examination, Jamie has gained experience teaching: GCSE and GNVQ at The Westgate School, Slough.
In addition to these stages of Art examination, Jamie has gained experience teaching: GCSE and GNVQ at The Westgate School, Slough. where he was also able to pursue Adult Continuing Education - teaching Ceramics with, intially, East Berkshire College in association with Westgate and then additionally for Buckinghamshire County Council at Iver Adult Continuing Education Centre.
