Jamie Lowe Art Teacher
Jamie is a Scots - qualified Art Teacher with a Design background. He is qualified to degree and post graduate level (from Edinburgh College of Art) and has a P.G.C.E (from Strathclyde University, Glasgow). He has a variety of secondary school teaching experience, mainly in international schools. He is proficient at teaching IB Visual Arts Diploma, 'A'-Level, AP Art and IGCSE with additional experience ranging from primary, through to adult continuing education in Art and Design. Jamie is a Cambridge International Exam Board accredited IGCSE moderator. He has familiarity with both OFSTED and CIS accreditation processes, managing an Art department and department policy-making. He is an IAYP leader experienced in leading The International Award Programme for Young People. His pastoral experience is as a mentor group leader or form tutor. Currently Jamie has the position: Subject Expert Teacher at BASIS International School Park Lane Harbour, Huizhou. Before teaching Jamie has been: Head Potter at Griselda Hill Pottery and a Ceramic Artist. Jamie continues to be a practicing artist who paints and also an aspiring photographer -(see his website here). He uses his love for photography in support of his work as an Art Teacher and an Artist.
